No Reservations — Here’s How to Join Us!
We don’t take reservations at Blue Mussel Cafe, but we do use a live same-day waitlist.
When we are full, you can go to our website, see the current wait time, and add your name to the list before you arrive. It’s like getting in line from your phone.
A few important things:
The waitlist is not a reservation.
It does not hold a table for a specific time.
The waitlist is only for the current meal service.
You can’t join the supper list during lunch or add yourself days in advance.
“Remind Me to Join Later” is only a reminder.
It does not add you to the waitlist. When you get the reminder, you still need to join the list yourself.
The system works best when you join the waitlist before you leave or when you’re already nearby. Then you can make your way to us while your name moves up the queue.

Do you take reservations?
No. Blue Mussel Cafe does not take reservations. We use a live same-day waitlist through Yelp. When we are full, you can join the waitlist from our website and get in the queue before you arrive.
Is the waitlist the same as a reservation?
No. This is the big one. The waitlist does not book a table for a certain time. It simply adds your name to the current line for that meal service.
Can I add myself to the waitlist days in advance?
No. The waitlist only works for the current day and current service. You can’t join Friday night’s waitlist on Wednesday.
What does “Remind Me to Join Later” mean?
It means the system will remind you to come back and join the waitlist later. It does not add you to the list, and it does not reserve a table. You still need to join the waitlist when you receive the reminder.
Why can’t I join the waitlist right now?
Usually for one of two reasons: either we are not full yet, so there is no waitlist to join, or we are already full enough for that service that we can’t take more names.
When should I join the waitlist?
Join when you are planning to come for that current service and are close enough to make your way to the restaurant. The system works best when you are nearby or on your way.
What happens if my table is ready and I’m not there yet?
We’ll give you a few minutes, then move to the next group. When you arrive, we’ll work you back in as soon as we can, but the waitlist works best when you’re nearby when your table is getting close.
Do you take large parties?
Our maximum table size is 6. Larger groups can join as separate smaller groups, but they will not be guaranteed to sit together or at the same time.
