HOW DID Blue Mussel BEGIN?
Since 1994, Blue Mussel Cafe has been a place where locals and visitors come together over fresh, thoughtfully prepared seafood and genuine hospitality.

In 2013, Steve Murphy and Christine McQuaid took over the restaurant and have continued to grow it into something truly special — a place built not just on great food, but on connection. Over the years, it has become a destination where memories are made, traditions are started, and guests return season after season.
Our original home in North Rustico Harbour helped shape who we are today — relaxed, welcoming, and deeply rooted in the PEI coastal experience.
Now, we’re beginning an exciting new chapter just down the road in South Rustico.
While the setting is new, what matters most remains unchanged: fresh PEI seafood, warm service, and a dining experience that feels both familiar and worth coming back for.
